Thanks for taking the time to read about me.
My work career actually began at a very young age. My brother and I grew sweet corn on my Dad’s land, picked it very early in the morning, set up a truck on the corner and sold it every day until it was gone. It began my investment career. Also, selling concessions at auctions with my dog, Smokey by my side. I was about 7 years old and I remember throwing hot dogs to him whole to give him snacks in between customers. As a young boy and as I grew in age, I understood how each customer is the key to my success in business.
Being raised in a real estate and auction family, I was able to learn from my parents. They instilled values and practices we still use today.
After completing high school in Sleepy Eye and Bethany College in Mankato, I made the decision to continue the family legacy of both the real estate and auction business. We have developed processes in the auction business that are enhancements to the past, although respecting and appreciating the past. The entire family can be seen working at auctions.
Politics are an arena I enjoy, my future goals include political ventures. Minnesota sports are appreciated by myself. I follow football, basketball and some baseball.

My name is Kathy Krenz and I currently live in Sleepy Eye. I was married for over 50 years to Larry Krenz and we were blessed with 2 sons. Jeremy and Jeffrey and now have 3 grandchildren.
For many years I worked with Larry in both the auction and real estate side of business. I was fortunate to do all the background work in real estate which I now do with Jeff. I also am working with Jeff now in the auction business.
After the passing of Larry, Jeff was able to attain a new broker, Chad Stavnes with Heartland Real Estate. What a great opportunity for the real estate side to expand and develop new ideas.
I am on the auction side of the business now. I will be more than happy to explain to you how a buy-out of an estate works, how an auction works either live or on line. There are some instances on line is the way to go and other times, live is the best route. But…we can figure that out together. My goal is if we do a buyout, I will access what I can offer you for your entire personal property and we will take care of it all. We will give to charity, we will donate to different areas that are in need and we will store the items until it is time to sell them. I have a team whom I hire to help take care of this transition for you. As far as a live or on line auction, that is another conversation we can have. Bottom line for an auction is we want you to make money, if you are not going to, there is no point to it. I am always very honest about the evaluation and what will work.

Chad’s roots grow deep in the upper Midwest. He graduated from Sanborn/Lamberton High School in 1991 and went on to earn a BS degree in Ag-Business with a Marketing minor from South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD in 1995. Chad and Jenny, his high school sweetheart, were married in 1994, and they continue to reside in Lamberton where they are surrounded by their children and families. Heartland Real Estate Services, LLC was established in 2006 and Chad serves as MN and IA Broker, Certified General Appraiser, Certified Auctioneer and Certified Personal Property Appraiser. He is also a member of the Local/State/National Realtor Associations and the ASFMRA (American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers).
Chad enjoys the rural nature of the area and is especially thankful to live and raise his family among relatives, friends and the exceptional rural communities he serves. He also enjoys being an active member of his church and the Red Rock Central School Board, farming Jenny’s family farm, bus driving, managing rental properties, hunting, and the outdoors. Through faith in God, who gives him daily strength, Chad continues to look forward to whatever He has in store. Chad humbly looks forward to the opportunity to earn your business and friendship.
